This privacy policy applies to the AstroAnimal app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by OM Capital LTD (hereby referred to as "Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
AstroAnimal provides astrological interpretations and readings for pets based on birth chart data. These readings are not professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment; a substitute for qualified veterinary care; medical, behavioral, or health guidance for your pet; or scientific or evidence-based assessments of your pet's health or behavior.
We strongly recommend that you always seek the advice of a licensed veterinarian for any questions regarding your pet's health, behavior, or medical conditions.
IF YOUR PET IS EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY CONTACT YOUR VETERINARIAN OR EMERGENCY VETERINARY SERVICES.
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
Information Automatically Collected
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
- Device type (e.g., phone, tablet)
- Device manufacturer and model
- App version
- Crash logs and error reports
- Device identifiers for analytics purposes
The Application does not gather precise real-time location information from your device's GPS. Any location information we collect is manually entered by you as text (e.g., "London, UK") for the purpose of calculating astrological birth charts.
Information You Provide
For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
Your Account Information:
- Name
- Email address
- Your birth information (optional): gender, birth date, birth time, birth location - only if you choose to create compatibility readings between yourself and your pets
Your Pet's Information:
- Pet name
- Breed
- Gender
- Birth date
- Birth time
- Birth location (manually entered as text, e.g., city/region)
- Pet photos (optional)
The information that the Service Provider requests will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
Information We Collect from Third Parties
If you access our Application through third-party authentication services (e.g., Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In), these services will share certain information with us if your account settings allow such sharing. The information we receive will depend on the policies and your account settings with the third-party service and may include your name, email address, and profile picture.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our Application uses device identifiers, local storage, and similar tracking technologies to:
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Authenticate your login
- Analyze how you use the Application
- Improve performance and functionality
- Provide analytics through Firebase Analytics and other services
- Enable crash reporting and diagnostics
Types of Technologies We Use:
- Device Identifiers: Unique identifiers assigned to your device
- Local Storage: Data stored on your device to remember preferences
- Analytics SDKs: Third-party tools (Firebase Analytics) that collect usage data
- Performance Monitoring: Tools that track app performance metrics
You can manage some tracking preferences through your device settings, but disabling certain technologies may limit your ability to use some features of the Application.
Do Not Track Signals
Do Not Track ("DNT") is an optional browser setting that allows you to express your preferences regarding tracking by advertisers and other third parties. Our Application does not currently respond to Do Not Track ("DNT") signals from web browsers, as there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret and respond to these signals.
Social Media Features and Third-Party Authentication
Social Login
You can create an account or log in to our Application using third-party authentication services such as Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In.
When you use social login, the third-party service will authenticate your identity and may share certain information with us, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, depending on your privacy settings with that service. We use this information only to create and manage your account.
Information Shared with Social Media
If you connect your account to social media platforms or share content from our Application to social media (such as sharing pet birth chart cards), those platforms may collect information about your activities in accordance with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party social media platforms.
Privacy Reminder: When you share content publicly or on social media, other users can always save, screenshot, or copy that content. Do not share any information you would not want others to save or redistribute.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalized astrological birth chart readings for your pets using astronomical calculations and AI-generated interpretations
- Calculate astronomical positions and astrological interpretations using specialized APIs (ProKerla)
- Create AI-generated reading content tailored to your pet's chart using OpenAI API
- Provide daily horoscope readings for your pets
- Generate compatibility readings between you and your pets (if you provide your birth information)
- Display pet photos you upload in your pet's profile
- Process subscription payments and manage in-app purchases through RevenueCat
- Improve the Application's functionality and user experience through analytics
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- Send you service-related notifications (e.g., account confirmations, subscription updates)
- Send you marketing communications about new features, updates, and promotions (with your consent)
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and property
- Conduct research and analytics to understand usage patterns and improve our services
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices, and marketing promotions. You can opt out of marketing communications as described in the "Your Rights and Choices" section below.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties only as described in this privacy statement.

Payment Information
We use third-party payment processors (RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play Store) to process subscription payments. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card information, credit card numbers, or bank account details. All payment information is collected and processed directly by these third-party payment processors in accordance with their privacy policies and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
We may receive limited information from payment processors related to your purchase, such as:
- Transaction confirmation
- Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled)
- Subscription tier
- Purchase date
- Postal/zip code
We never receive your full payment card details or banking information.
Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you with third parties for research, analytics, marketing, and other business purposes. For example, we may share aggregate statistics about pet breeds using the app, popular birth locations for pets, general app usage patterns, and subscription conversion rates.
This data does not contain any personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify individual users or their pets.
Legal and Safety Disclosures
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
- When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
- With their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity (you will be notified via email and/or prominent notice in the Application)
How We Protect Your Information
Security Measures
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols
- Encryption of data at rest where applicable
- Secure data storage with reputable service providers (Firebase/Google)
- Access controls and authentication measures
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Employee training on data protection practices
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Storage Location
The Personal Information that you provide to us is stored on servers maintained by Google Firebase. These servers are located in the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers.
If you are located outside the United States, you should be aware that once your Personal Information is submitted through our Application, it will be transferred to servers in the United States and other jurisdictions and therefore governed by applicable data protection laws, which may differ from the laws in your country.
International Data Transfers
Any data that you provide to us may be accessed, shared, or processed by our service providers located in various countries, if such data transfer is necessary for the specific purpose for which you submitted your data (such as generating astrological readings, processing payments, or providing customer support).
This may entail a transfer of your Personal Information across international borders. The data protection standards may differ and be lower than the standards enforced in your jurisdiction. We strive to maintain appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law for any Personal Information transferred internationally, including:
- Standard Contractual Clauses for EU/EEA data transfers
- Ensuring service providers comply with applicable data protection regulations
- Implementing technical and organizational security measures
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter.
Retention Periods
When determining the retention period, we take into account:
- The type of data and services you use
- The nature and length of our relationship with you
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Statute of limitations periods
- Whether data is needed for legitimate business purposes
Financial and Regulatory Compliance
IMPORTANT: Please note that even if you request deletion of your account and data, we are required to retain certain information to comply with tax, financial, and regulatory obligations. This includes but is not limited to:
- Transaction records and payment information required for VAT audits and tax compliance (typically 7-10 years depending on jurisdiction)
- Information necessary to comply with accounting standards and financial regulations
- Data required for regulatory audits and legal compliance
- Records needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
- Information needed to prevent fraud and abuse
Such information will be retained for the period required by applicable law and will be stored securely with access limited to authorized personnel for compliance purposes only.
Requesting Deletion
For all other data not subject to regulatory retention requirements, if you'd like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

When we delete data that is not subject to retention requirements, we will either permanently delete the information from our systems or anonymize the information so it can no longer identify you.
Backup copies may persist for a limited time in our disaster recovery systems but will be deleted in due course.
Your Rights and Choices
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Account and Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account and all associated data (subject to the regulatory retention requirements described in the Data Retention section), you may:

- Email us at [email protected] with "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.
What will be deleted:
- Your account information (name, email)
- All pet profiles and birth charts
- Your reading history
- Pet photos you've uploaded
- Your compatibility readings (if any)
What will be retained:
- Transaction records (required for tax/legal compliance for 7-10 years)
- Anonymized analytics data
Marketing Communications
You can opt out of receiving marketing communications by:
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in emails
- Contacting us at [email protected]
- Adjusting notification settings in the Application
Please note that you cannot opt out of service-related communications such as account notifications, subscription confirmations, security alerts, important service updates, and responses to your support requests.
Device Permissions
You can manage permissions for camera and photo library access through your device settings at any time:
- iOS: Settings -> [Your Name] -> Subscriptions -> AstroAnimal -> Photos / Camera
- Android: Settings -> Apps -> AstroAnimal -> Permissions
Revoking these permissions will not affect your use of the Application except you will not be able to add new photos until permission is re-granted.
Children's Privacy
Minimum Age Requirements
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
To use AstroAnimal:
- You must be at least 13 years old to create a free account and use the Application
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to make purchases or subscribe to paid features
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If you are not at least 13 years old, do not use our Application or Services.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you may only use our Application with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and Guardians
In the case the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers (subject to any legal retention requirements).
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at [email protected] so that we can take the necessary actions.
California Minors - Erasure Rights
In accordance with California law, users under the age of 18 residing in California may request removal of content and information they have shared on the Application.
To request removal, email [email protected] with your account email address, "Minor Content Removal Request" in the subject line, and a description of the content you wish to remove.
Please note that removal does not ensure complete erasure of all copies of the content (such as screenshots or content shared by others), and we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may anonymize the information instead of complete deletion where permitted by law.
Under certain circumstances, we may not have to comply with the above removal requirements as permitted by California law. We reserve the right to anonymize the posted content or information or to make such content or information invisible to other users and the public, instead of removing or deleting the content or information.
Privacy Rights for European Union/EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents
If you are a resident of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related laws.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract Performance: Processing is necessary to provide our services to you (e.g., generating birth charts, providing readings, managing your account)
- Consent: You have given explicit consent for specific processing activities (e.g., marketing communications)

Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- We will post the revised policy on this page
- For material changes, we will notify you through the Application or by email
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Application after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
