AstroAnimal started during a life changing experience - our first pregnancy. When adjusting to life with a newborn, we had one non-negotiable: Nara, our whippet dog, in other words, our first baby. She wouldn't be sidelined by this new chapter. We both wanted our baby and Nara to bond from day one, and feel connected in a way that felt genuine and true.
We've been using astrology for years as a tool for self-understanding. Always finding the planets and stars as a very useful guide for pattern spotting, as opposed to future predictions. In the haze of broken sleep and shifting routines, we realised we could use the same approach to understand Nara's temperament, stress cues, and needs.
We couldn't find anything that translated that kind of insight into practical, everyday prompts for connection, between pet and human, and between pets themselves.
That's how we developed AstroAnimal. Turning a private need into a useful and practical product. An app that connects pets and humans through the language of the stars, translating cosmic patterns into grounded guidance for real-life relationships.
